Red Stick Studio Leather FAQ
Hopefully this may answer any question you have in regards to the purchase and/or care of a leather items from us. If you have questions not answered on the FAQ feel free to email Red Stick Studio to enquire.
Q. Do the prices shown include shipping?
A. No. Please contact me to discuss shipping options and pricing. Worldwide shipping available save regions a US resident is unable to ship to.
Q. How durable are your masks?
A. Leather masks, when properly cared for can last for 20+ years. This being said, please store it carefully, as leaving heavy things on it or leaving it crammed in a small space can cause the mask to lose it's intended shape. It is wet molded, so if it is an unfinished mask, exposing it to water can cause it to flatten back into a rectangle of leather. Please be sure to finish your mask or protect it in some manner if using it in inclement weather to prevent this. That can be accomplished by spraying a couple light coats of super sheene or resolene on the mask.
Q. Will I have issues with it fitting my face?
A. Leather conforms very well to a face, especially once it's been broken in. That being said, the masks are shaped on a headform that has the facial structure of a typical adult male, and have fit a wide array of individuals because of this continuity.
Q. Is it real leather?
A. Absoutely. There may be adornments that are not, but the base mask that will be against your face is leather.
Q. Do you ship internationally?
A. Yes. All packages will be sent via USPS and insured. I will not declare them a gift, nor assist in circumventing duties and fees, please don't ask. Also, prices do NOT include VAT/import fees that your country may assess and these can often be upwards of 25% + the purchase price of the item. Returns are not accepted on items that have been refused at customs due to fees. The recipient is responsible for any and all import fees that could potentially be assessed to your package.
Q. What methods of payment do you accept?
A. Paypal, Goods and Services only. This being said, I will ONLY ship to the address provided through paypal, period.
Q. I'd like to purchase a mask you list as in stock. How long before it will be shipped?
A. Within 3-4 business days after payment is verified. Any holidays that USPS/UPS is closed may cause an additional delay if one falls within those days. If you need it sooner, shipping can be expedited at the current rate, a rush fee may also apply if a specific trip must be made to drop the shipment off at the respective shipping location. Please notify me upon purchase of this and I will adjust get the most up to date quote for shipping.
Q. Can these be purchased in person at any location?
A. Not at this time.
Q. Will you be attending any Renaissance Festivals in the area?
A. I have been asked this many times already! The answer in short I've been made aware of the local venues and will look into it as my schedule allows.
Q. Are you willing to sell your masks in bulk/wholesale?
A: These handmade creations that I feel are best sold in person, by myself, the maker. However, should you need a quantity of pieces for a production or other large scale project (Mardi Gras ball, New Year's eve party etc.) I would be more than happy to discuss a custom project of that nature.
